About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in applied behavior analysis and a passion for improving the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive behavioral assessments and diagnostic evaluations to identify client needs and develop tailored intervention plans.
- Implement evidence-based behavioral therapy techniques grounded in applied behavior analysis (ABA) to promote skill development and reduce maladaptive behaviors.
- Collect, analyze, and document data meticulously to monitor progress and adjust treatment strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, educators, and healthcare professionals to ensure consistency and effectiveness of interventions across settings.
- Provide training and supervision to behavioral therapists and support staff to maintain high-quality service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining confidentiality of medical records and sensitive client information.
- Participate in intake processes, develop treatment goals, and conduct ongoing patient assessments to evaluate outcomes.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and reports in accordance with professional standards.
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Proven experience working with children and individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder.
- Strong data collection skills to track behavioral progress effectively.
- Familiarity with special education practices and integrating behavioral strategies within educational settings.
- Ability to perform patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and families.
- Understanding of medical terminology, HIPAA compliance, and medical records management.
- A compassionate approach to patient care combined with a proactive attitude towards treatment planning and implementation.
