Responsibilities

  • Lead by example, displaying timeliness in arrival, work completion and treatment plan submission.
  • Complete treatment plan reviews with insurance companies (when needed).
  • Develop, monitor, and modify the implementation of treatment plans for clients.
  • Present treatment plan to the insurance provider in a timely manner to ensure appropriate authorization and/or continuation of care.
  • Provide supervision to Behavior Technicians on all aspects of implementing high-quality ABA programs and their revisions.
  • Provide direct therapy for clients as needed.
  • Develop effective behavior plans.
  • Receive crisis prevention training and supervise the implementation of crisis prevention.
  • Assist in intakes when requested.
  • Work with other Center staff and home staff to make sure the therapy location is a safe and healthy environment.
  • Report housekeeping and/or maintenance needs as they arise to Management.
  • Provide information to the accounting department needed for billing for services provided with accuracy and within the designated time frame through EMR system.
  • Maintain a positive and respectful relationship with families and maintain appropriate professional boundaries with families, colleagues and other staff.
  • Demonstrate cultural competency in providing consistent high-quality services to individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultural circumstances.
  • Complete parent meetings for each client as assigned by the Clinical Director or by treatment plan.
  • Meet supervision requirements per approved treatment plans.
  • Assist in, or complete interviews for new hires to ensure staff are available for clients.
  • Provide recommendations and resources for home programs and goals to encourage consistency and reinforcement for ABA programs outside of therapy.
  • Aid Lead Behavior technicians in daily coverage assignments for clients.

Qualifications

  • BCaBA certification through the BACB.
  • Master’s Degree in Psychology or related field, or in graduate school working towards BCBA, and have taken and passed the BCaBA certification exam, through the Behavior Analysis Certification Board (BACB).
  • Strong knowledge of & experience with autism spectrum disorder, including assessment and treatment.
  • BCBA preferred and required asap, must be eligible to take exam based on education/graduation, and hours completion, and have plans to take the exam within 6 months.
  • Excellent ability to communicate with families and other professionals.
  • Experience developing and conducting trainings for various audiences.
  • Ability to sit & use computer keyboard.
  • Ability to kneel, bend, & reach.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the day.
  • Ability to engage in crisis management during client behavior.

Credentialing

  • Must be certified as a BCABA by the relevant CMH’s.
