Responsibilities

• Supervise blood collection staff, including training and performance management.
• Drive results and uphold a high standard of customer service and respect for donors and team members.
• Personally connect with donors, listen to their stories, and communicate the value of their contributions.
• Foster a friendly and fun environment to encourage repeat donations.
• Collaborate with co-workers to set up and tear down equipment for mobile blood drives.

Schedule

This role operates on a variable schedule to meet donor and community needs, which may include early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays. Overnight travel may occasionally be required in some locations. Schedules are provided two to three weeks in advance.

Pay

Starting salary is $60,000 per year, with potential increases based on experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and 4–8 years of relevant work experience.
• Minimum of three years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Customer service experience and strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability to discuss procedures and medical issues with patients, families, and physicians.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Physical ability to lift, push, or pull heavy weights, navigate ramps and stairs, and maintain good manual dexterity.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and adapt to irregular hours and frequent schedule changes.
• Minimum height of 60 inches may be required to safely operate Red Cross vehicles.
• Basic computer skills are desirable.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience (e.g., CNA, MA, EMT).
• Leadership experience exceeding three years in a healthcare setting.
