Blood Center Lab Assistant

About the role

Join the ImpactLife team as a Processing Laboratory Lab Assistant to prepare blood donor samples for testing, perform quality control testing, and support Bench Techs to ensure the right product reaches the right patient. Responsibilities include preparing components, releasing and labeling products, and preparing products for shipping.

This is a full-time position working 1st shift with every other Saturday and holiday rotation.

• Prepare blood donor samples for testing

• Prepare, release, and label blood components
• Prepare products for shipping

Requirements

• Highly detail-oriented with great accuracy
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
• High School diploma or equivalent (required)
• Previous work in the medical field (preferred)
• Associate’s Degree or Medical Assistant Degree (preferred)
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
• Pre-employment background check and drug screen
