Blood Center Distribution Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking a Supervisor, Inventory & Management Distribution (IMD) to join our IMD team. IMD is responsible for coordinating, distributing, and delivering biologic products to our clients.

Responsibilities

• Support department and MVRBC initiatives
• Oversee assigned staff including counseling, scheduling, and payroll duties
• Troubleshoot to resolve issues within compliance of SOPs, including logistics and delivery of optimal customer service
• Participate in preparation of departmental budget and benchmarking
• Maintain departmental and customer inventory management
• Validate processes and equipment
• Develop and oversee departmental training

Qualifications

• High school competencies plus 2 years of formal preparation preferred
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in customer service or inventory management preferred
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a supervisory/management role preferred
• Experience in blood or pharmaceutical inventory management/hospital customer relations/logistics preferred
• Outstanding interpersonal skills in dealing with all levels of customers and staff (paid and volunteer)
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities effectively
• Working knowledge of computers
• Valid driver’s license
• Able to operate Blood Center vehicles
• Ability to stand, sit, and maintain regular and recurring physical exertion such as reaching, bending, and lifting for extended periods of time
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds

Schedule

This is a full-time position generally working Monday-Friday 8 am to 4 pm with On-call as well as coverage on 2nd shift, 3rd shift, and/or weekends as needed.
