Blockchain Engineer

About the role

Senior Blockchain Engineer position (full‑time contract, 12‑18 months) with a hybrid schedule of 4 days onsite and 1 day remote per week. Locations: Pennington, NJ 08534 or Jersey City, NJ 07302. Interview process includes a WebEx interview followed by an onsite/in‑person interview. Engagement is on a W‑2 basis only (no 1099 or Corp‑to‑Corp). The role sits within the client’s back‑office financial markets technology team supporting securities clearing, trade processing, settlement, and asset movement, focusing on building/supporting a digital assets platform with blockchain network connectivity. The position qualifies for a referral bonus of $250‑$1,000.

Responsibilities

• Help shape the strategy and direction of the client’s digital assets/blockchain platform as it evolves.
• Build and support a digital assets platform that connects to public or private blockchain networks.
• Work on wallet management, key management, tokenization, and validator/node connectivity.
• Integrate blockchain infrastructure with traditional financial systems (clearing, settlement, custody, payments).
