Blend Operator - Days 4am-4pm

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Weighs each ingredient and adds to the batch
• Ensures the product is ready to dry
• Carrries out all QA checks in the mix room
• Operates the pH meter, refractometer, etc. to keep product within specifications
• Performs necessary routine cleaning and preventive maintenance
• Follows established plant operating and cleaning procedures
• Follows Good Manufacturing Practices
• Aids in safety analysis and on the job training of new employees
• Attends educational training seminars as needed (i.e. loss control)
• Attends and participates in safety meetings
• Reports unsafe acts, conditions, and accidents immediately to supervisor
• Assists in accident investigations
• Covers vacations and overtime as needed or required
• Assists with duties in other departments as needed

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Basic computer skills
• Ability to interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and job safety analysis
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
• Computes rate, ratio, and percentage
• Performs work independently, as required
• Knowledge with machines, tools, equipment, and lockout tagout
• Must be able to read, write and speak English

Pay

$24.35/hour
