About the role

Provides general building and grounds maintenance services. Responsible for regular maintenance of facilities including electrical systems, plumbing systems, HVAC systems, and general building maintenance. Performs preventive maintenance at Warren Equipment locations on electrical systems, plumbing systems, HVAC systems, wash rack systems, and compressor systems. Performs maintenance on grounds, exterior lighting, parking lots, trash detail at locations, wash rack repair, and sign repair. Performs small construction projects such as painting, drywall patching, floor tile replacement, ceiling tile replacement, and lighting replacement. Performs housekeeping duties in electrical rooms, mechanical rooms, and compressor rooms. Sets up and transports furniture to locations for office personnel needs. Assists Facilities leadership with special projects and duties, as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year related experience and/or training.
  • Proactive, problem-solving mindset.
  • Desire to perform tasks and assignments safely, efficiently, and at a high quality.
  • Ability to follow simple instructions in various forms (written, verbal, diagram).
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with supervisors, peers, and customers.
  • Valid Driver’s License and Clean Driving Record.
  • Ability to pass Worksteps pre-employment testing.

Physical demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance or smell. The employee will be required to do heavy lifting. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places and outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock and vibration.
