BLASTER (1st or 2nd SHIFT)

Job duties

• Work with steel grit to remove rust on metal
• Run overhead cranes
• Run forklifts

Qualifications

• Previous forklift experience and certification preferred.
• Ability to read work orders
• Demonstrated good work attendance in previous jobs.
• Read and understand units of measurement
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Must be able to pass an alcohol and drug screening, background check, and physical exam.
• Must be able to perform simple, repetitive routine tasks.

Physical requirements

• Required to sit, stand and walk.
• Use hands and fingers to feel objects, tools or controls.
• Frequent stooping, bending, pulling and pushing.
• Reach with hands and arms.
• Required to talk and hear consistently.
• Able to lift, carry and/or drag up to 100 pounds if necessary.
• Must be comfortable in small spaces
• Specific vision abilities required by the role include the ability to distinguish the nature of objects by using the eye.
• Able to wear PPE (eyeglasses, earplugs, protective coveralls, respiratory device and steel toe shoes)
• Able to ascend and descend two (2) flights of stairs.
