Responsibilities
- Assist in the production of retail products using raw materials to develop product and service knowledge for guests.
- Provide entertaining, interactive, and engaging demonstrations of the craft to enhance the guest experience and improve sales, adhering to Merchandise Selling Skills standards.
- Ensure complete adherence to established recipes to control production expenses.
- Gain understanding of raw materials inventory to assist the craftsman.
- Operate the cash register/POS system efficiently, following Dollywood policies and Sales Audit procedures.
- Ensure all inventory is stocked on shelves and fully stocked nightly at close and prior to opening, adhering to Inventory Control policies.
- Assist in maintaining the shop's cleanliness and displays to meet Dollywood standards.
- Represent Dollywood positively by being friendly and courteous to guests, ensuring 100% satisfaction with their park experience.
- Accommodate changes in work assignments and locations, exhibiting a positive and personable disposition.
- Adhere to all Merchandise policies and procedures, including timely reporting of safety issues.
- Support and exhibit behaviors aligned with Company and Department vision, mission, and core values to achieve location budgets.
- Protect the privacy and security of guests and coworkers, including PCI compliance.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or comparable work experience preferred but not required.
- Sincere desire to learn craft production techniques.
- Knowledge of production techniques, costing, raw materials, safety precautions, and chemical use preferred.
- Ability to demonstrate craft production in an entertaining and informative manner; previous experience in demonstrations, presentations, or public speaking preferred.
- Experience operating machinery related to craft production and demonstration preferred.
- Ability to comprehend instructions and retain information.
- Prior cash handling and sales experience preferred.

Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions
- Occasional to frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs using company safety guidelines.
- Intermittent to prolonged sitting, standing, and/or walking for up to 13 hours per shift.
- Performing repetitive movements and tasks throughout the shift.
- Working in varying weather conditions, including extreme cold and heat.
- Strong cognitive skills, including critical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
- Finger dexterity for handling money, merchandise, and operating cash register/POS system.
