Bistro Attendant (AM Shift)

Position Summary

As a Bistro Attendant, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food and beverage quality and presentation in workstation as directed by the Supervisor/Manager. Prepare a variety of food options, as well as hot and cold beverages.

Essential Functions

  • Knowledge of the appropriate table settings and service ware.
  • Knowledge of all menu items, prices and methods of preparation.
  • Use suggestive selling techniques to encourage the guests to choose items that are house specialties.
  • Clean or sanitize work areas, utensils, or equipment.
  • Clean service or seating areas.
  • Check temperatures of freezers, refrigerators, or heating equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  • Serve food and beverage items to customers in a friendly, enthusiastic, professional, and timely manner.
  • Follow 4 Keys service standards, standard operation procedures, and safety standards.
  • Follow safety and security procedures.
  • Work cohesively with co-workers and all departments as part of a team.
  • Follow all additional duties as assigned by management.

Skills and Abilities

  • Must adhere to the company's Service culture - 4 Keys to creating guests for life.
  • Must participate in all required meetings and training.
  • Prepare and serve coffee and tea drinks that meet quality standards.
  • Properly handle and maintain all equipment.
  • Respond to orders, questions, concerns, and constructive feedback in a polite and efficient manner.
  • Accurately handle cash and credit card payments, following appropriate cash-handling procedures.
  • Serve customers quickly and efficiently.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and able to multitask.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all the menu offerings and must be able to make recommendations.
  • Observe relevant health and safety standards.
  • Ensure that the opening/closing duties are complete as per protocol.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of all the retail items.
  • Abide by all policies and safety rules.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.

Job Qualifications/Requirements

  • Education: High School diploma or GED equivalence
  • Experience: 1 year experience in a similar role
  • Additional: Will be required to work flexible scheduled shifts based on business needs

Pay

$18/hr

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

The minimum physical requirements for this position include but are not limited to:

  • Flexible and long hours sometimes required
  • Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to hear, understand and communicate orally and in writing to communicate with staff, vendors, and guests a normal in-person and phone conversation
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to bend and twist, push and pull, stoop, and kneel
