Job Summary

Responsible for ensuring guest satisfaction and product quality standards are met.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Be readily available and approachable for all guests.
  • Take a proactive approach when dealing with guest’s concerns.
  • Extend professionalism and courtesy to guests.
  • Knows local health and safety codes and regulations that apply to the hotel.
  • Recognizes and reports potential safety hazards, such as broken doors or railings, fire hazards, etc.
  • Maintains physical product standards by following IHM and Brand standards.
  • Ensures that the bistro service space remains well-stocked at all times.
  • Receives food and beverage orders and directs these to the kitchen, as needed.
  • Provides customers with condiments upon request.
  • Solves customers' queries and complaints.
  • Sweeps, vacuuming, and mopping the floors after each service.
  • Cleans and sanitizes tables and countertops after each service.
  • Familiar with and able to follow all IHM and brand cash handling procedures.
  • Able to prepare and serve classic and innovative drinks while following all company, local and state guidelines.
  • Helps validate customers’ IDs and monitors all beverage consumption in order to address severe intoxication.
  • Able to follow brand and IHM standard operating procedures to prepare food and beverage items for serving to customers.
  • Able to follow provided brand and IHM recipes when cooking food to serve guests.
  • Complies with standards as outlined in food and dish sanitation checklists.
  • Able to effectively follow financial control procedures for cash, vouchers, inventories and receivables.

Requirements

  • Highly motivated team player with strong initiative and desire for achievement.
  • Excellent communication, computer and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work both with a team and alone.
  • Must be able to convey information and ideas.
  • Basic knowledge of how to operate all Food and Beverage equipment.
  • Ability to solve basic equipment problems and/or who to contact for solution.
  • Working Conditions/Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
