This is an unclassified contract position. Employment is predicated on continuation of state/federal funding.
Requirements
- Education and Experience: Associate's Degree or higher in Environmental Science, Public Health, Homeland Security, Electrical Technology or related field; or 30 hours of college credits in science, public health, homeland security or a related field, plus two (2) years of experience in environmental monitoring, field-based studies, public health preparedness, emergency response, technical field operations, or electrical and mechanical equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
Skills
General Purpose: Performs basic and complex aspects of BioWatch field operations, including filter preparation, installation, collection, transport, troubleshooting, and oversight of the ambient air monitoring system. Provides technical leadership and field support to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of the BioWatch monitoring network.

- Licenses and Certificates: Valid Texas Class "C" Driver's License or equivalent from another state by the date of appointment.
