Accountabilities
- Lead the identification, development, and execution of capital project opportunities while coordinating internal and external resources to achieve business objectives.
- Manage pursuit activities from opportunity identification through customer decision and project progression.
- Build strong relationships with customers and understand their technical, operational, and business requirements.
- Collaborate with customers, EPCs, OEMs, system integrators, and end users to develop tailored solutions.
- Support commercial discussions to ensure alignment with project objectives and customer expectations.
- Maintain accurate project pipeline information, status updates, and opportunity tracking within internal systems.
- Strengthen channel relationships and support strategic customer engagements, technical discussions, and industry presentations.
- Analyze market opportunities, identify risks, and recommend actions to improve project success rates.
Requirements
- Experienced business development and project pursuit professional with a strong background in complex technical sales environments.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in complex sales, business development, or project pursuit within industries such as life sciences, chemical, oil and gas, semiconductor, or major industrial markets.
- Experience managing capital projects and working with stakeholders such as EPCs, OEMs, system integrators, and engineering teams.
- Strong understanding of complex sales cycles, opportunity qualification, pursuit strategy development, and execution.
- Ability to work independently, make informed decisions, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
- Prominent ability to build and maintain relationships with customers, partners, and diverse stakeholder groups.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts clearly to technical and executive audiences.
- Ability to interpret engineering specifications, technical documents, and project requirements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and strategic thinking abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and standard business software tools.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively.
- Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time by air and car for customer meetings, sales activities, and technical engagements.
