About the Role
The Biomedical Technician oversees the maintenance, repair, and operational integrity of water treatment, medical, and mechanical/electrical systems in a clinical setting, ensuring patient and staff safety.
Responsibilities
- Perform troubleshooting, calibration, testing, cleaning, and disinfection of dialysis machines and water systems.
- Conduct water quality and safety checks, collect microbiology and AAMI samples, and follow disinfection protocols.
- Maintain preventive maintenance programs and accurate records of equipment.
- Assist with inventory management, supply stocking, and procurement activities.
- Ensure safety procedures, OSHA regulations, and emergency preparedness are followed.
- Collaborate with staff and management, provide technical training, and support QAPI meetings.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
- Preferred experience in dialysis, hospitals, or medical settings.
- Ability to distinguish primary colors, work under stress, and communicate effectively.
- Capable of working independently and in team environments.
