Biomedical Sterilizer Equipment Technician 1

Sodexo is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician I with experience servicing sterilization equipment to support Cone Health in Greensboro, NC.

The role focuses on completing specific tasks and projects as an individual contributor, performing specialized technical tasks to support operations. Work is primarily achieved independently, though collaboration with a team may occur.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and maintain medical equipment to ensure reliable patient care across clinical settings.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and maintain compliance.
• Uphold regulatory standards and promote a safety-first environment, supporting audits and remediation efforts.
• Maintain accurate service records, analyze data trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to resolve technical issues and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Mentor and train team members to enhance technical skills and overall service quality.

Requirements

• Technical skills and hands-on experience with medical equipment repair, calibration, and preventative maintenance.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks and coordinate service operations efficiently.
• A customer-focused mindset with the ability to communicate effectively and build trust with clinical staff and team members.
• Problem-solving resourcefulness and the ability to develop practical solutions in fast-paced, real-time environments.
• A collaborative spirit and willingness to mentor or be mentored, supporting continuous learning and team development.

Qualifications

• Education Requirement: High school diploma/GED or associate degree or bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Management Experience: 0-3 years.
• Related Experience: 3-7 years.

Pay

Pay Range: $23.50 per hour - $35 per hour.
