Responsibilities
- Apply knowledge and experience to provide direction to others.
- Motivate others through recognition.
- Aid in workload distribution and scheduling.
- Assist with on-call functions and rotational schedules.
- Train other technicians and provide feedback on their performance.
- Monitor service delivery, including service turnaround time and backlog reduction.
- Lead service operations and special projects as assigned.
- Support and make recommendations on continuous improvement initiatives.
Technical Service
- Perform preventative maintenance, performance verifications, and calibration on medical equipment.
- Repair, install, and calibrate complex medical equipment.
- Document repair status and communicate with departments regarding equipment issues.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure proper service delivery.
- Maintain medical equipment expertise through ongoing training and development.
- Support cross-training and technician development within the department.
- Utilize ETQ policies and processes to guide day-to-day activities.
Regulatory Compliance
- Lead by example in documenting work performed, ensuring accuracy and completeness of records.
- Affirm the accuracy and integrity of the equipment RSQ database.
- Maintain compliance with the Medical Equipment Management Plan and regulatory agency requirements.
- Ensure all service documentation is complete, timely, and accurate.
- Submit regulatory requests as needed.
Account Relationship Management
- Build and maintain customer relationships within hospital departments.
- Discuss equipment status and functionality with clinicians.
- Adhere to TRIMEDX’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
- Interact with external customers and end users to resolve issues.
Inventory
- Periodically inspect current inventory.
- Verify the completion of Cyber work for new customer equipment.
- Conduct performance verifications to maintain an accurate inventory of medical devices.
- Manage the inventory validation process, ensuring monthly goals are met.
- Conduct audits with the team and hospital to ensure temporary devices are disposed of promptly.
- Perform rounding in hospital departments to verify inventory accuracy.
Skills and Experience
- Complex computer skills, including system administration, interpreting error codes, and applying networking concepts.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to lead, mentor, and influence the team.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong team lead, organizational, and time management skills.
- Valid driver’s license required; variable travel requirements.
- Experience working with medical equipment in a clinical engineering or healthcare technology management environment.
- Technical certifications such as A+, CBET, CRES, or CLES preferred.
Qualifications
- 2-year degree in a technical/electronics field or equivalent experience required.
- Must have CE experience and the knowledge and ability to influence others.
