Biomedical Equipment Technician

About the Role

Under the direction of the QAPI Coordinator, the Biomedical Equipment Technician (BET) ensures all Collection’s equipment is available, clean, and operational for daily use in accordance with manufacturer specifications. This role involves maintenance and repair of a wide range of equipment, including medical laboratory and industrial equipment, while managing equipment files and assisting in cost control.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair biomedical and industrial equipment to ensure operational readiness.
• Document all critical activities accurately and timely in existing management systems.
• Manage critical equipment files, including proper filing, labeling, and storage.
• Communicate and assist with departmental equipment needs.
• Provide training or on-the-job development for new hires and incumbent staff as requested.
• Work overtime or float to other areas as needed.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 1:30 pm – 10:00 pm.
