About the role

White Oak Medical Center seeks to hire a Biomedical Engineering Technician who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing. The Biomedical Engineering Technician will:

Responsibilities

  • Perform performance assurance (PA) inspections, scheduled maintenance, electrical safety inspections (ESI), and operation verification procedures (OVP) on general biomedical equipment.
  • Repair, install, and calibrate general biomedical equipment.
  • Inform supervisors of the status of repairs, scheduled inspections, unusual equipment situations, and any customer concerns.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all patient and physician related data contained in the reporting process.
  • Work with, direct, and document the activities of subcontractors, vendors, and outside service technicians to ensure proper service delivery.
  • Maintain biomedical expertise through ongoing training and education.
  • Aid in Service Operations Special Projects as assigned.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the equipment database to include the inventory, performance assurance (PA) schedules, nomenclature, and service history.
  • Make recommendations regarding inventory.

Requirements

  • A.S. in Electronics, Mechanical Principles or equivalent formal technical training.
  • Proficiency to independently perform repairs and planned maintenance on a variety of clinical equipment.
  • 2 years experience as Biomedical Technician, hospital experience preferred.

  • Ability to work independently and also in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Proficient in PC skills in a MS Windows environment (e-mail, work order processing, procurement, etc.).

$25.63 - $35.89

Schedule

Full-time, 40 hours/week, Day Shift, approximately one weekend per month, Follow company holiday calendar.
