Biomed Tech I

Highlights

The Biomedical Technician I will focus on learning how to repair medical products. They will work independently and in a team environment under direct supervision. This individual may attend factory training classes and apply lessons learned through on-the-job training and experience. Initially, they will assist in preventative maintenance and service repair. As their skills develop, they will be able to resolve routine technical problems independently. This position may also have additional tasks assigned within the scope of the role.

Education / Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's degree or equivalent training/experience in electronics or Biomedical Engineering preferred.
• Previous experience in at least one specialty area relating to the field of biomedical equipment repair preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Some experience with mechanical devices and tools and test equipment, preferred.
• Fundamentals of DICOM & Networking preferred.
• Experience with electronic circuit boards, processors, and computer hardware including applications, programming, and systems functionally, preferred.
• PC competency, including basic knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, databases, preferred.
