About the Role

BJC is hiring for a Biomed II Tech. This is an onsite position at Memorial Hospital in Shiloh. The role involves preventative maintenance on general Biomed equipment. General biomed experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Schedules and performs preventive maintenance, performance assurance testing, electrical safety inspections, and schedules repairs to correct failed equipment.
  • Repairs and calibrates equipment and devices to bring them up to the original manufacturers’ specifications.
  • Provides in-service education and customer service to staff on equipment operation and safety.
  • Conducts troubleshooting to identify symptoms, define problems, compare options, implement appropriate solutions, and evaluate results.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2-5 years of experience
  • No supervisory experience required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology
  • 5-10 years of experience
  • Less than 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Biomedical certification
