About the role

We're seeking biology experts—Masters and PhD holders—to help build and refine cutting-edge AI models by designing and solving advanced scientific problems that push the boundaries of what AI can understand. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for scientists who want meaningful, intellectually stimulating work on their own schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, solve, and critically review advanced biology problems with real-world scientific relevance
  • Apply your expertise in genetics, biotechnology, bioinformatics, or related fields to design challenging, nuanced problem statements
  • Evaluate AI-generated scientific reasoning and outputs for accuracy, depth, and rigor
  • Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to enhance model performance
  • Ensure scientific clarity, precision, and depth across all deliverables
  • Work independently on task-based assignments — fully on your own schedule

Requirements

  • Hold a Master's or PhD in Biology, Genetics, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, or a closely related field
  • Deeply knowledgeable in at least one of: genetics, biotechnology, or bioinformatics
  • Comfortable coding in Python or R for research or analytical purposes
  • Exceptionally clear and precise in written communication — you can explain complex science without losing the detail
  • Detail-oriented and methodical — you hold your work to a high standard
  • Fluent in English

Qualifications

  • Nice to have: Prior experience with data annotation, data quality review, or evaluation systems
  • Familiarity with AI tools, language models, or scientific benchmarking
  • Background spanning multiple biology sub-disciplines
  • Experience writing for scientific publication, grant applications, or technical documentation
