About the role
We're seeking biology experts to help build and train cutting-edge AI models. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for working scientists and academics.
Responsibilities
- Develop, solve, and critically review advanced biology problems with real-world scientific relevance
- Apply your expertise in genetics, biotechnology, bioinformatics, or related fields to design complex, rigorous problem statements
- Evaluate AI-generated scientific content for accuracy, depth, and methodological soundness
- Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to strengthen AI model reasoning
- Ensure scientific rigor, clarity, and precision across all deliverables
- Work independently on task-based assignments — fully on your own schedule
Requirements
- Master's or PhD in Biology or a closely related field (Genetics, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, etc.)
- Strong expertise in at least one of: genetics, biotechnology, or bioinformatics
- Comfortable working with Python or R for research or data analysis
- Exceptional written communication skills — you can explain complex science clearly and precisely
- Naturally detail-oriented with a rigorous, methodical approach to scientific problems
- Fluent in English
Qualifications
- Nice to have: prior experience with data annotation, data quality review, or AI evaluation systems
- Background in computational biology, systems biology, or related quantitative disciplines
- Experience writing or reviewing scientific literature, grant proposals, or technical documentation
- Familiarity with AI tools or large language model workflows
