About the role
Reynolds is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and serves Virginia’s capital city and five nearby counties. Annually, our four campus sites serve approximately 13,000 credit students and provide training for 7,400 students through the Community College Workforce Alliance. Responsibilities
- Teach college-level Biology or Anatomy and Physiology courses.
- Employ multiple teaching strategies to create student-centered classrooms.
- Incorporate technology routinely into instructional and faculty responsibilities.
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Work with a diverse population of faculty, staff and students.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Biology or Anatomy and Physiology or a Master’s degree with eighteen (18) graduate semester hours in Biology or Anatomy and Physiology.
- Experience teaching or tutoring in any of these subject areas: English, Humanities, Socio/Behavioral Sciences, Math, including Statistics, Chemistry, Biology, and Anatomy and Physiology.
- Previous Biology laboratory experience in a higher education setting.
- Experience working in a biology, bio-technology or a related field.
