Biology Lab Manager

About the role

The Biology Lab Manager oversees all aspects of laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and adherence to scientific standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily lab activities, including equipment maintenance and safety inspections.
• Manage inventory and order supplies as needed.
• Train and supervise lab technicians and assistants.
• Develop and implement new laboratory procedures and protocols.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operation of the lab.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of laboratory management experience.
• Experience working in a research or academic setting preferred.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of laboratory safety regulations and best practices.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay

Salary range: $50,000 - $60,000 annually.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with occasional evenings and weekends.
