About The Role

We're looking for Biology experts with advanced degrees to help train and evaluate cutting-edge AI models. You'll apply your deep scientific knowledge to develop complex problems, assess AI reasoning, and ensure biological accuracy at the frontier of AI development. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for working scientists, postdocs, and researchers who want to apply their expertise beyond the lab — on their own schedule.

What You'll Do

  • Design, solve, and review advanced biology problems with real-world scientific relevance
  • Apply your expertise in genetics, molecular biology, biotechnology, or bioinformatics to construct complex, rigorous problem statements
  • Evaluate AI-generated scientific content for accuracy, depth, and reasoning quality
  • Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to push the boundaries of AI scientific reasoning
  • Ensure scientific rigor, clarity, and precision across all deliverables

Who You Are

  • Hold a Master's or PhD in Biology or a closely related field (Genetics, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, etc.)
  • Deep expertise in one or more of: genetics, biotechnology, bioinformatics, or molecular biology
  • Comfortable coding in Python or R for research or data analysis
  • Exceptionally clear written communicator — you can explain complex science precisely and accessibly
  • Detail-oriented, rigorous, and self-motivated when working independently
  • Fluent in English

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience with data annotation, data quality, or AI evaluation workflows
  • Background in research publication, peer review, or scientific writing
  • Experience communicating complex scientific concepts to non-specialist audiences
  • Familiarity with bioinformatics pipelines, genomic tools, or computational biology methods

Why Join Us

  • Work on cutting-edge AI projects alongside leading research labs and AI teams
  • Fully remote and flexible — contribute on a schedule that fits around your existing work or research
  • Freelance autonomy with the structure of meaningful, intellectually stimulating work
  • Apply and stretch your scientific expertise in a novel, high-impact domain
  • Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as new projects launch
