Position Summary
The Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Denver is seeking adjunct instructors for the 2025-2026 academic year to teach various courses. This posting will be used to identify potential candidates for both adjunct and faculty overload positions.

About the Role

This role involves teaching as per the course schedule, holding office hours, assigning papers and exams, and assisting students with their assignments. The University operates on a quarter system, and details of teaching responsibilities will be provided at the time of hire.

Pay

The course rate will range from $4,952 to $6,189. The University of Denver provides a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The University may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.

Schedule

The University's administrative offices are open Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. Faculty schedules vary from term to term and are based on courses taught, service commitments, and research agendas. The University's academic calendars are posted on the registrar's website. The law school operates on a semester system and has a different academic calendar.
