BIOLOGIST (ENTRY)

Key Responsibilities

• Oversight of the inventory of research materials
• Processing material requests efficiently and accurately
• Ensuring compliance with established ISO quality standards
• Managing day-to-day operations, including shipping/receiving and workspace maintenance
• Operating and maintaining equipment and supplies to ensure a smooth workflow
• Conducting data entry tasks with precision
• Processing materials in the lab, adhering to established protocols
• Handling material cooler storage and maintaining cold storage rooms
• Performing greenhouse and plant care activities
• Team Collaboration: Work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Collaborate with various departments to meet project requirements

Qualifications

• Education: Completion of A.S. (Associate in Science) degree or higher
• Experience: Minimum one year of related experience and/or training preferred
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and standard computer software. Basic mechanical ability and understanding of equipment maintenance. Ability to operate and troubleshoot equipment.
• Personal Attributes: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy. Adept at handling repetitive tasks. Proactive and self-motivated. Ability to work in a fast-paced, global, and multi-cultural environment.

Physical Requirements

• Comfortable with regular heavy lifting (up to 40 pounds with a team)
• Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Able to stand for extended periods of time
• Able to work in hot and cold environments (outside ambient temperatures)
• Operate pallet jacks and walk-behind forklifts for in-house inventory transport

Training

Will receive comprehensive training in primary and other departments to assist as needed.
