Biologist

Responsibilities

• Express, purify, and characterize multispecific biologics.
• Perform characterization of multispecific biologics using SEC, LC/MS, DSF, SDS-PAGE, and endotoxin assays.
• Utilize automation (e.g., Hamilton, AssayMap, Kingfisher) in biologics discovery processes.
• Coordinate sample handoffs and aliquoting to enable timely delivery of material to cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in biology or related field with 2+ years (BS) or 0+ years (MS) of pharmaceutical and/or relevant experience.
• Experience with protein and biologics expression, purification, and characterization.
• Knowledge of analytical techniques to characterize proteins (e.g., SEC, MS, DSF).
• Excellent organizational skills to track multiple requests and sample deliveries.
• Familiarity with report generation and electronic notebook systems.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Strong communication skills to convey experimental results and plan next steps.
• Experience with protein purification and remediation (antibodies and fragments).
• Experience with sequence analysis tools (Vector NTI, Geneious, Genedata).
• Team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic protein and biologics experience, including knowledge of best practices in protein production.
• Familiarity with a variety of purification resins, techniques, AKTA systems, and protein QC.
• Experience with sequence analysis software and automation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with multispecific biologics.
• Hands-on experience with analytical techniques including SEC, MS, endotoxin measurement, and DSF.
• Hands-on experience with SEC, HIC, IEX purification of complex biologics using AKTA platforms.
• Experience with automation (e.g., Tecan, Hamilton).
• Experience with antibody engineering, design, and optimization.
