Biologist

Job Summary

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and passionate scientist to join our team in Immunology Discovery based in Cambridge MA. In this role, the candidate will collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams to advance portfolio projects, with a particular emphasis on supporting in vitro data generation.

Responsibilities

• Perform and adapt cell-based in vitro protocols in a timely manner across diverse cell systems
• Data analysis and effective communication of results
• Collaboration across multiple teams

Qualifications

• Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Biological Science or related field with 2+ years of experience in biotech or pharma setting (industry experience)
• Experience in in vitro cell culture (sterile techniques, handling challenging cell types)
• Experience with cell-based assay development
• Experience with primary epithelial cells and human colon organoids
• Experience with immune cells including myeloid cells (monocytes, macrophages or dendritic cells)
• Experience in immunoassays including multi-color flow cytometry and ELISA (or MSD, HTRF)
• Experience with gene expression analysis by qPCR
• Experience with ex vivo animal tissue processing
• Ability to learn new skills and apply them in a fast-paced research environment
• Creativity, problem-solving, and attention to details
• Excellent oral and written communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team
• Proven flexibility to deal with changing timelines and shifting work priorities
