Responsibilities
- Data QC of NGS sequencing data
- Bioinformatic analysis of NGS data, particularly bulk RNA and scRNA
- Custom bioinformatic analysis
- Develop, maintain, and optimize analysis pipelines
- Generating data QC and analysis reports
- Organize and maintain experimental records and lab procedures
- Communicate in person and electronically with customers and team members
Qualifications
- B.S. or M.S. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biostatistics or a related science
- Experience with a scripting language (Python, R, Perl, Bash, Java, Javascript) is required
- Experience working in a Unix/Linux command-line environment is required
- Experience working with next-generation sequencing preferred, particularly Illumina or 10X Genomics libraries
- Familiarity with common bioinformatics software tools for processing next-generation sequencing data, such as Bowtie, GATK/Picard, STAR, SAMtools, Cell Ranger, and/or similar applications.
- Experience working with large-scale biological datasets using high-performance computing
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS is a plus
- Proficient using MS Office Software
- Able to work well under pressure to meet deadlines
- Able to work independently and with a team
- Must be detail-oriented and have strong analytical skills
Pay
The Pay Range For This Role Is 45 - 55 USD per hour(Fremont Blvd)
