Bioinformatician I

Responsibilities

• Develop creative approaches at the intersection of data collection, integration, and analysis.
• Work with a range of genomic, cellular, and clinical data types, adding statistical rigor to the experimental process.
• Collaborate with bench scientists and clinical researchers to generate insights into immune system function in health and disease.
• Leverage a combination of statistical, computational, and machine learning/AI-driven approaches to analyze complex, high-dimensional datasets.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills.
• Proficiency in a modern programming language used in data science (e.g. R, Python, SAS, Matlab, Scala, Java).
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• The ability to work in both a collaborative environment and independently.
• Experience in the biological sciences and bioinformatic analysis of high-throughput “-omics” data is preferred but not required.
• Experience with machine learning and AI methods (e.g., clustering, classification, dimensionality reduction) preferred.
