About the role
The Bioinformatician at Mayo Clinic functions as a bioinformatics collaborator who applies bioinformatics expertise to the design, implementation, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of research and clinical genomics studies. The role is supervised by a Senior Bioinformatician or Principal Bioinformatician.
Responsibilities
- Apply bioinformatics expertise to genomics, proteomics, and metabolomics data (omics technologies).
- Develop novel analytical tools as needed by projects.
- Manage time and documentation for projects.
- Participate in administrative duties such as tracking time and maintaining project documentation.
- This is a limited tenure position that may convert to a regular position.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in bioinformatics or a related field with emphasis on analytical omics expertise.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Expertise in informatics computing and data management packages.
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and delegate tasks.
- Demonstrated success in project management and communication skills.
- A commitment to customer service with an attitude of ownership.

Pay and Schedule
- $85,467.20 - $128,252.80 per year.
- Full-time, Monday - Friday during business hours.
