**Biochemistry Research Technician**
About the role
We are seeking a Formulation Specialist to support a high-priority enzyme stabilization and product development project. This individual will play a critical role as the primary owner of enzyme assay analysis for prototype formulations, working across internal teams and external partners. This is a hands-on, lab-focused role with strong exposure to product development, formulation, and pilot-scale operations.
Responsibilities
- Execute time-sensitive, multi-step assays with high precision and consistency.
- Support enzyme formulation development and optimization projects.
- Analyze samples from pelleting trials and external prototype workstreams.
- Maintain ownership of assay throughput and data quality across multiple samples.
- Assist with physical property testing and experimental modeling.
- Generate technical reports, data summaries, and presentations.
- Maintain strict adherence to SOPs, documentation practices, and lab cleanliness standards.
- Learn and apply new analytical techniques and technologies quickly.

- Practical laboratory experience in biochemistry and assays.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy in repetitive, detail-driven analytical work.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related science.
- 1+ year of laboratory experience in an industry lab (post-graduation).
- Analytical lab work, bioassay, or enzyme-related work preferred.
- R&D or product development experience preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude or comfort working with equipment/pilot systems is a plus.
- Interest in product development and applied science.
Work Environment
The position operates Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with some schedule variations once fully trained. Training involves hands-on learning over 2-3 weeks with direct supervision. The role involves a mix of lab bench work focused on analytical testing and hands-on pilot/manufacturing exposure.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
