Bio Med Tech II
Key Responsibilities
- Perform complex troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on a wide range of biomedical equipment using manufacturer documentation, schematics, and testing equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes).
- Utilize work order and equipment management systems to maintain accurate inventory and documentation of preventive maintenance tasks, repairs, and equipment status.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards including The Joint Commission (TJC), CMS, and other healthcare accreditation agencies.
- Communicate and collaborate across departments and leadership within the Marshall Health Network regarding Clinical Engineering activities, timelines, and equipment status.
- Support the systemwide deployment of new biomedical devices and technology platforms.
- Maintain both hospital-owned and leased biomedical equipment in a safe, functional, and regulatory-compliant condition.
- Work independently and effectively manage time, workload, and technical priorities across multiple facilities.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience in biomedical equipment repair and maintenance. Certification in Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) or equivalent certification preferred. Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance procedures. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Proficiency with diagnostic and testing equipment. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Qualifications
Current certification in Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) or equivalent certification preferred. Experience with electronic medical devices and equipment. Knowledge of hospital and clinical environments. Proficiency with diagnostic and testing equipment. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

$50,000 - $60,000 annually based on experience and qualifications.
