Binding Authority Underwriter - High Net Worth, Personal Lines

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Binding Authority Underwriter - High Net Worth, Personal Lines to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will focus on underwriting complex personal lines risks with an emphasis on high net worth business and binding authority coverage. You will build and maintain strong relationships with retail insurance agents and brokers while helping drive portfolio growth and profitable new business. The position also partners closely with carriers and agency contacts to deliver competitive quotations, sound risk decisions, and exceptional service throughout the policy lifecycle.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new business, renewals, and endorsements for complex personal lines risks
• Analyze risk exposures and loss histories to establish coverage and pricing
• Prepare competitive quotations and communicate recommendations to retail partners
• Develop and expand relationships with retail insurance agents and brokers
• Generate new business through agency prospecting and networking
• Monitor portfolio performance and drive premium growth
• Manage accounts throughout the policy lifecycle, ensuring exceptional service

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in insurance, particularly in Personal Lines or Binding Authority Underwriting
• Proven relationship-building skills with insurance agents and brokers
• Experience marketing business to carriers and negotiating coverage
• Strong knowledge of Personal Lines products and coverages
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Pay

$100,000 – $125,000 annually
