About the role

The Bindery Supervisor leads daily bindery production operations, ensuring products meet quality, production, and safety standards. This hands-on leadership role focuses on team development, process improvement, and achieving production goals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily bindery operations to meet production schedules and customer expectations.
  • Review production specifications and Job Jackets for accurate execution.
  • Verify machine setups and configurations align with production requirements.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and support teams in resolving challenges.
  • Monitor production records, reporting, and tracking documentation for accuracy.
  • Ensure cutting dies, molds, and tooling meet approved specifications.
  • Generate production reports and communicate performance results to leadership.
  • Create employee schedules and coordinate labor resources to support production demands.
  • Verify finished products meet company quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Coach, mentor, and support bindery team members to maximize performance and engagement.
  • Promote safety, housekeeping, security, and compliance with company policies.
  • Identify opportunities to improve production processes, productivity, and quality.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (required).
  • Degree in Engineering, Management, or related field (preferred).
  • Two or more years of supervisory or leadership experience (preferred).
  • Manufacturing, printing, packaging, or production experience (preferred).
