Bindery Assistant (1st Shift)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and reliable team member to join the bindery crew in De Pere, Wisconsin. This is a first-shift position in a climate-controlled environment.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials onto pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
• Convey materials from storage or work sites to designated areas using hand trucks, electric dollies, or other devices.
• Attach identifying tags or labels to materials or mark information on cases, bales, or other containers.
• Stack or assemble materials into bundles and band bundles together using a banding machine and clincher.
• Occasionally use automated equipment and/or operate industrial trucks or electric hoists to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
• Build pallets, apply all necessary paperwork, and move pallets to a shipping staging area.
• Perform offline tasks as needed, such as floor work, cleaning trays, covering breaks, and fixing packing errors.
• Work on an inserter attached to the top or back of a press.

Requirements

• Ability to stand for up to eight hours.
• Organizational skills.
• Basic skill in the use of shrink-wrap or strapping equipment, manual dollies, pallet jacks, tape fasteners, and related equipment.

Pay

The pay range for this role at the noted location is $15.00 to $17.34 per hour. The actual rate of pay offered may vary based on education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and stand-by pay.
