Bindery Assistant (3rd Shift)

Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials onto pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand
• Convey materials from storage or work sites to designated area, using hand truck, electric dolly, or other device
• Attach identifying tags or labels to materials or mark information on cases, bales, or other containers
• Stack or assemble materials into bundles and band bundles together, using banding machine and clincher
• May occasionally use automated equipment and/or operate industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products
• Build pallets and apply all necessary paperwork to the pallet and move pallet to a shipping staging area
• Perform off line tasks as needed (floorwork, cleaning trays, giving breaks, fixing packing errors)

Requirements

• Ability to stand up to eight hours
• Organizational skills
• Basic skill in the use of shrink-wrap or strapping equipment, manual dollies, pallet jacks, tape fasteners, and related equipment
• Ability to work on an inserter attached to the top or back of a press

Pay

$15.00 to $17.34 per hour, plus a $3 per hour shift premium for third shift.

Schedule

Third shift position in a climate-controlled environment.
