Bim Specialist
Responsibilities
- Consult with the Facilities team to assess the current BIM process, workflows, and Revit usage.
- Recommend and implement process improvements, standards, and a comprehensive BIM documentation and maintenance framework, along with best practices and workflows.
- Define automation opportunities using off-the-shelf Revit tools and features.
- Train and mentor staff in Revit skills and execution.
- Develop and present solutions to technical and design problems following industry best practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in Revit, BIM, AutoCAD, and design software.
- Bachelor's degree in drafting technology or related field with 13 years of related experience, or an associate degree with 14 years of related experience, or 15 years of progressive detailing and design experience.
- Expert understanding of Revit Building Information Modeling (BIM) software.
- Strong understanding of hosted vs. non-hosted elements, view ranges, visibility/graphics controls, filters, templates, design options, Revit families, parameters and schedules, view templates and standards.
- Experience with Dynamo, pyRevit scripts, AutoCAD LISP development, and Revit-AutoCAD integration.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with CTC Software tools.
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI and IWMS software platforms.
- Experience in training or mentoring individuals.
Work Environment
The role involves collaboration with the Facilities team, utilizing advanced design software and tools. The work setting encourages innovation and continuous learning, with an emphasis on training and development in Revit skills.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Kansas City, MO.
Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
