Overview

Our client, a leading employee-owned engineering firm specializing in electrical power distribution, industrial control systems, and advanced technology solutions, is seeking a BIM Specialist to support BIM standards, Revit content development, model coordination, and digital project delivery across engineering projects.

Responsibilities

  • Apply BIM standards, workflows, and best practices across assigned projects.
  • Support implementation of BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and promote consistent BIM practices.
  • Create, modify, and maintain Revit families, templates, and content libraries.
  • Develop standardized electrical equipment and infrastructure families.
  • Improve Revit content quality, scalability, and usability.
  • Support BIM model setup, configuration, and coordination across projects.
  • Maintain consistency across digital project delivery platforms.
  • Provide BIM technical support to engineers, designers, and drafters.
  • Develop BIM training materials, standards documentation, and onboarding resources.
  • Mentor BIM users and promote BIM best practices throughout the organization.
  • Audit BIM models and identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.
  • Support Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) administration, workflows, and collaboration initiatives.
  • Assist with interdisciplinary model coordination and BIM-related QA/QC reviews.
  • Develop automation workflows using Dynamo.
  • Experience with Python scripting, Power BI, Revit API, or Revit data extraction workflows.
  • Experience with advanced parametric family creation and optimization.
  • Familiarity with shared parameters, coordinate systems, templates, and BIM governance practices.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional Revit experience in an engineering, architecture, MEP, or construction environment.
  • Experience creating and managing Revit families, templates, and content libraries.
  • Experience supporting BIM standards, coordination, quality control, and QA/QC processes.
  • Understanding of Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), BIM 360, or similar collaboration platforms.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam Revu.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented approach with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Successful completion of background checks and other client-specific access requirements.
  • Experience supporting electrical engineering or MEP projects.
  • Experience with BIM Execution Plans (BEPs).
  • Understanding of model coordination and clash detection workflows.
  • Experience developing automation workflows using Dynamo.
  • Experience with advanced parametric family creation and optimization.
  • Familiarity with shared parameters, coordinate systems, templates, and BIM governance practices.
