BIM/Revit Technician

About the role

Join us as a BIM Technician supporting our NYC Water team in the delivery of water, wastewater, conveyance, and stormwater projects. In this role, you’ll prepare 3D models using appropriate design criteria and technical manuals, often working closely with engineers. You’ll follow standard work methods for preparing engineering drawings under general supervision, interface with internal and external contacts, and coordinate with multiple project design disciplines for interference checking and quality control. The role involves working in-person at project sites in New York City and Westchester County.

Responsibilities

• Prepare 3D models using Revit and Civil 3D based on design criteria and technical manuals.
• Follow standard work methods to produce engineering drawings under general supervision.
• Coordinate with multiple project design disciplines for interference checking and quality control.
• Provide support to the BIM manager, BIM coordinator, and designers in BIM implementation on projects.
• Perform Civil 3D modeling for site formation, road alignment, piping works, and drainage.
• Adhere to CIC and CEDD BIM modeling standards.

Requirements

• Higher Certificate / Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience using Revit.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience on Civil 3D.
• Solid experience in 3D modeling software applications (Civil 3D and Revit), BIM 360 / Construction Cloud, Navisworks Manage, and AutoCAD.
• Civil 3D experience is preferred.
• Recognized certificate, diploma, or above in BIM, Architecture, Building, Construction, Engineering, Surveying, or equivalent is preferred.
• Good command of spoken and written English.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $70,000.00 to $115,000.00, paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
