BIM Project Specialist Plumbing

Job Requirements

As a Project Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the design, coordination, and execution of Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes specifically for plumbing systems. You will work closely with engineers and designers to develop detailed Revit models, ensuring that mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems are accurately represented and well-coordinated within the project.

• Create, manage, and maintain detailed Revit models for plumbing systems, from design development through to detailed documentation.
• Ensure that all models comply with industry standards and project specifications.
• Lead coordination efforts between plumbing systems with other building systems.
• Facilitate and lead coordination and clash detection meetings with internal teams and external consultants using tools such as Navisworks and ACC BIM360.
• Ensure timely resolution of clashes and conflicts by working closely with all project stakeholders to deliver coordinated, conflict-free designs.
• Assist in the virtual design and layout of plumbing systems, providing support for system sizing, routing, and space management.
• Ensure adherence to BIM execution plans (BEP), managing project-specific BIM standards for plumbing systems.
• Perform regular quality control checks on models to maintain accuracy and alignment with project goals.
• Ensure all plumbing models adhere to EUA’s internal standards and best practices, maintaining consistency, sustainability, and accuracy across all projects.
• Provide technical support to engineers and designers on Revit and BIM processes related to plumbing systems.
• Conduct training sessions on best practices and advanced features in Revit.
• Manage and organize all plumbing data within the BIM model, ensuring accurate data exchange between different teams and disciplines.
• Assist in integrating BIM models with project management and analysis software.

Key Outcomes

Accurate and Coordinated MEP Models: Ensure that plumbing Revit models are fully coordinated with other building systems, free from significant clashes, and meet project requirements.
