About the role

Egan Company is seeking a BIM Coordinator - Plumbing/Piping for our Mechanical team in Champlin, MN. The role oversees model management tasks for Virtual Design & Construction Projects.

Responsibilities

  • Set-Up of BIM Coordinated Models Utilizing Egan Templates.
  • Coordination & Modeling of Mechanical Plumbing and Piping Systems. Including all Information.
  • Provide a Complete & Functional Virtual Installation of the Project.
  • Create Field Installation Drawings & Fabrication Spool Drawings.
  • Collaborate with other Internal and External BIM Coordinators.
  • Review of Project Drawings, Specifications, Submittals, etc… in order to Provide a Complete and Coordinated Project VDC Model.
  • Able to Find Issues During BIM Coordination Process and Assist in RFI Requests to Eliminate Field Issues.

Requirements

  • Two Year Technical Degree in CAD or Related Field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Experience in Mechanical Industry.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Revit and/or AutoCAD Experience.

Qualifications

  • Good communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Effective teacher, in small or large group settings.
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple projects.
  • Fundamental Knowledge of Mechanical Plumbing & Piping Systems.
  • Ability to Read and Interpret 2d Drawings & Specifications.
  • Ability to Read and Interpret MN Plumbing & Mechanical Codes.
  • Proficient in the use of standard office computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Google Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, etc.).
  • Proficient in the following: CAD Skills, Creative problem solver, Highly organized, Proactive learner, Self Driven, Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Revizto, Autodesk ACC, Trimble.

  • Self-starter with strong initiative and follow-through.
  • Ability to present ideas and complex information in a concise, professional manner.
  • Attention to detail and ability to question if something does not look correct.
  • Foresee events and anticipate changes in conditions and operations to the greatest extent possible and react to these appropriately.

Salary Range

$80,000-$120,000 (subject to such factors as experience, education, and/or skill set) plus potential annual discretionary bonus.
