BIM Coordinator (Water / Hydraulic)

About the role

WSP is looking for an experienced BIM coordinator with a strong background in using Common Data Environments (CDEs) and proficiency in CAD software for civil engineering projects. This role is specifically for the water team.

Responsibilities

• Work with hydraulic design software and its integration with CAD tools while creating smart automations to improve workflows across multiple platforms.
• Collaborate with an experienced team, building on your knowledge of delivery requirements and QA processes for water engineering projects.
• Lead document control on various projects, set CAD and document standards, and drive efficiency through automation and streamlined processes.
• Create BIM Execution Plans for projects.
• Comply with the BIM content standards, execution plan, and project workflow.
• Perform CAD quality checks on drawings and documents.
• Develop workflows and improve the efficiency of the team.
• Create templates and standard details for use of the team.
• Collaborate and coordinate with other teams.

Requirements

• Industry experience, specific to the infrastructure drainage engineering.
• A passion for digital, BIM technology, and continuous improvement.
• Good communication, client handling, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in project delivery.
• Experience in 3D modelling and design coordination.
• Ability to challenge and contribute to engineering detailing.
• Experience working with EDMS solutions such as Bentley Projectwise, Autodesk BIM360 etc.
• Experience in coordinating inter-disciplinary information in a 3D environment.
• Working knowledge of BIM standards such as PASAA 1192 and BS EN ISO 19650.
• HNC/HND/Degree in engineering or associated engineering field.
