About the role
The Lincolnton, NC Conversion, Customizing and Packaging Center is located approximately 30 miles from Charlotte. The facility employs just under 400 full-time associates in a 5-shift operation, which encompasses 235,000 sq ft. along with 12,000 SKUs. ISO certified, our associates engage in BPS, CIP and 5S.
Responsibilities
- Understand all safety procedures and ensure compliance within the area
- Ensure quality standards are maintained and understand containment procedures for parts that are Out Of Specification (OOS)
- Lead activities in the area and assist in meeting daily quality & production goals
- Complete setups of equipment in accordance with production needs
- Absorb and assist in organizing MAE tooling and ensuring availability of components for production use – i.e. clamps, cutting heads, rollers, etc.
- Understand equipment software and programming, as required
- Ensure compliance to procedures pertaining to machine cleanliness and tool organization within the area (5S)
- Understand FIFO concept and help organize material flow in and out the area
- Read and understand all work instructions, operating procedures and documentation pertaining to milling and side setting
- Assist in troubleshooting root cause for issues within the area
- Assist in the training of operators on applicable procedures
- Achieve all other production, quality and safety related goals
Qualifications
- High school Diploma or GED from an accredited school
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in manufacturing
- Previous experience in machine software navigation
- Ability to stand and be mobile for 8 hours
- Proper hand dexterity
- Ability to read and comprehend technical drawings, instructions and documentation
- General computer knowledge and software navigation ability
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to lift (up to) 40 lbs*
- Previous experience with equipment/tooling setups is preferred
- Experience in CNC milling (or similar CNC process) is preferred
