BIM Manager
About the Role
In this role, you will define and lead the implementation of the BIM (Building Information Modeling) strategy to support the delivery of Fab 62, an advanced semiconductor fabrication facility for Intel Corporation located at Intel's Ocotillo campus in Chandler, Arizona. This project is a highly demanding environment where precision, cleanliness, schedule certainty, and coordination across thousands of craft and professional personnel are essential. Joining the Fab 62 team means contributing directly to one of the most strategically important construction efforts in the United States, helping deliver the infrastructure behind the next generation of microelectronics.
Responsibilities
- Define and implement the BIM execution strategy.
- Work with project kickoff teams to establish a mobilization plan per BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and deliver relevant kickoff meetings and workshops.
- Coordinate with the PIM Manager, IS&T manager, and DCC manager.
- Lead development of BIM project seed files, family libraries, and related assets.
- Conduct workshops with clients, partners, and stakeholders to agree on BIM requirements across the project.
- Manage relationships with third-party BIM developers/implementors.
- Support proposal and business development (BD) efforts in M&T business lines.
- Participate in BIM/automation industry and trade organizations.
- Facilitate integration of Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) into BIM processes.
- Conduct regular assessments to review the BEP and other execution plans, seeking opportunities for improvement.
- Capture lessons learned and improve workflows.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience, or 14-17 years of relevant work experience.
- Significant experience working across functions (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, IS&T) for BIM and project execution.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to explain new work processes and technologies to all levels of the organization.
- Ability to problem-solve, especially in an integrated project delivery information environment, applying industry best practices.
- Previous experience in developing project standards, class libraries, and master data management.
- Experience in developing data management execution strategies and configuration control.
- Experience working closely with senior client staff, JV partners, or subcontractors in designing and implementing digital solutions.
