BIM Designer - MEP, DC Design Engineering

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and deliver AWS global infrastructure, supporting all AWS data centers and equipment.
• Collaborate with a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles.
• Support the Central Engineering Team through the preparation of Electrical, telecom, and Security BIM models, construction documents, and leveraging BIM data.
• Create and maintain BIM templates and enforce BIM standards.
• Review consultants' Security and ICT models, ensuring Information Models meet AWS standards and follow the Exchange Information Requirements (EIR).
• Work on concurrent projects in multiple geographical locations.
• Assist the project team with information exchange processes between internal and external customers.
• Record and report key metrics to management.
• Offer creative, out-of-the-box solutions.

Requirements

You will be a part of a highly creative and efficient MEP BIM team, tasked with designing challenging and complex projects with innovative solutions for Amazon owned Data Center facilities. You will provide support to our Central Engineering Team through the preparation of Electrical, telecom, and Security BIM models, construction documents, and leveraging BIM data.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Experience with the design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission critical facilities, especially data centers.
• 3+ years of design/engineering of producing construction drawings for mission critical facilities.
• 2+ years consistent Revit and AutoCAD experience.

Skills

Knowledge of building codes and regulations for your region.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.

USA, TX, Austin - 96,600.00 - 160,000.00 USD annually
USA, VA, Herndon - 96,600.00 - 160,000.00 USD annually
USA, WA, Seattle - 96,600.00 - 160,000.00 USD annually
