BIM Designer - MEP, DC Design Engineering

Responsibilities
- Design, plan, deliver, and operate AWS global infrastructure.
- Support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment.
- Collaborate with people across AWS to help deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.
- Work on complex projects within a team environment.
- Provide support to our Central Engineering Team through the preparation of Electrical, telecom, and Security BIM models, construction documents, and leveraging BIM data.
- Design One-lines, Switchgear, UPS, Panelboards, Transformers, Power, Lighting, Lighting Control Systems, Grounding, Fire Alarm systems, Short Circuit and Arc Flash analysis, Cable tray and Cable pathways for Ethernet and Fiber systems.
- Prepare, maintain, and publish permit Electrical Engineering drawing sets for our fleet of Data Centers.
- Collaborate across disciplines and teams to refine data center designs.
- Create detailed models, drawings, specifications, prototypes, and update managers and leaders of changes to the building design.
- Engage in design discussions, review feedback from peers and collaborators, and adjust designs to ensure our data center solutions meet the highest standards of efficiency and quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Experience with the design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission critical facilities, especially data centers.
- Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production.
- Experience using a variety of web-based and other software tools for calculation and data processing.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations for your region.
- Experience with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- 2+ years consistent Revit and AutoCAD experience.
Skills
- Strong understanding of electrical, telecom, and security systems.
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Pay
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
