About the role
Were searching for a talented and driven BIM Designer to join our team!
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed 3D BIM models of electrical systems (power, lighting, low voltage, and specialty systems) using Revit or AutoCAD
- Collaborate with general contractors, engineers, and other trades to perform clash detection and resolve coordination issues
- Participate in coordination meetings and present model updates and solutions
- Review contract drawings, specifications, and project requirements to ensure model accuracy.
- Generate installation drawings, spool drawings, layout drawings, and prefabrication packages.
- Maintain model integrity, including proper use of families, standards, and file organization
- Manage and track revisions and updates throughout the project lifecycle
- Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and foremen to address field questions and constructability concerns.
Requirements
- 14+ years of BIM/VDC modeling experience, preferably in electrical construction.
- Proficiency with Autodesk Revit, with experience modeling MEP systems preferred.
- Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and other project collaboration platforms.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and construction practices.
- Experience performing clash detection, model coordination, and issue resolution using tools such as Revizto or Navisworks.
- Able to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment while managing multiple priorities.
Qualifications
- Commitment to producing accurate, high-quality models and deliverables.
Skills
